Two Leading Edge Consortium Preconsortium Workshops Available

Learning agility has long been considered a critical workplace skill, and talent agendas are a common cornerstone of organizational success. You can take a deep dive into these topics, and other important leadership topics, at the 2024 SIOP Leading Edge Consortium (LEC), Developing Leaders in a Shifting World.

The LEC will allow attendees to explore how leadership is evolving in response to global trends and changes in the workforce. Attendees can supplement that knowledge by adding on an in-person workshop:

Workshop 1: Coaching to Accelerate the Development of Learning Agility
The purpose of this session is to help coaches and consultants:

  • understand the behaviors and strategies that undergird learning agility
  • better assess coaching clients’ level of learning agility as well as the organizational context
  • become more intentional about incorporating the development of learning agile behavior into their coaching practice.

Workshop 2: Doing More With Less With Your Talent Agenda
This session will feature lessons learned from highly experienced practitioners, the chance to connect with colleagues with similar challenges, and the opportunity to work through a current challenge you are facing. After this session, participants will have a better idea of how to:

  • prioritize their talent agenda to meet the needs of critical populations
  • deliver key messages to the business and stay in constant contact with them
  • influence internally to get support for their agenda.

These articles further outline the importance of learning agility and talent agendas.

Both workshops will be offered from 8:30 a.m.– noon Thursday, October 24, at the Marriott City Center in downtown Minneapolis and are currently being reviewed for continuing education credit. Lunch will be provided for workshop attendees.

Due to interest in these timely coaching and talent topics, workshop registration is open to everyone, regardless of LEC registration. They are limited to 50 registrants each.

Additional abstract information is available on the Workshop webpage. Workshop speaker and facilitator information is available on the Workshop Facilitator webpage.

You can register for a workshop when you register for the LEC. If you have already registered for the LEC, you can go back and add a workshop by logging into your SIOP account. To register for a workshop only, call SIOP at 419-353-0032 during regular business hours.
