Sign Up Today for Preconference Workshops

By Rob Michel, 2021 SIOP Annual Conference Workshops Chair

Are you suffering from pandemic brain fog? If so, we’ve got something that can help. Neuroscience indicates that one of the best ways to combat brain fog is by engaging in novel experiences, so inject some novelty into your routine by registering for one of SIOP’s 2021 Preconference Workshops.

The workshops, which begin Monday, March 29, are an engaging way to learn from leaders in their respective areas and also meet peers who share similar interests and are facing some of the same work challenges as you. This year’s workshop slate includes offerings focusing on designing technology and data products, data visualization tools, the use of surveys, and more.

Still not convinced? Listen to what some past attendees had to say about their workshop experience:

  • Loved it!! Can’t wait to use it in the workplace!!
  • Fantastic workshop! The format of presentation, interaction, and self-reflection activities was perfect.
  • Great session—learned a lot myself and gives me the opportunity to make sure we leverage our resources better. Thank you!
  • Awesome job—loved the workshop. Lots of insights to take home!
  • The workshop was actionable, well-paced, and incredibly valuable!
  • Excellent workshop! Very valuable, accessible, relevant, and rigorous.
  • This workshop was built around an optimal integration of research, evidence/examples from practice, and professional insight. Truly top notch!
  • Really great compilation of what’s out there and what the presenters have done with it and fantastic translation into what to take back to do at our individual organizations.
  • The presenters were fantastic. I especially appreciated the practical applications. The real stories about their own companies were very valuable. It helped that they had so much real-world expertise and knowledge.

Many of the workshops are filling up fast, so be sure to register before it’s too late. We recently added a few seats to some workshops that had reached maximum capacity, so if a workshop you were interested in was sold out, take another look as there now may be some spots available.
