But it’s easy to lose track of just what your membership includes. Access to high-quality publications is one such benefit. Members can increase their scientific visibility by contributing focal articles or commentaries for SIOP's official quarterly industry journal, Industrial and Organizational Psychology (IOP), which addresses focal issues of importance to science and practice in the field. They can also gain valuable, timely insight into these issues by reading the journal. The multiple perspectives in IOP will give students different ways of thinking about the topics in their curriculum and provide examples of excellent critical thinking. Academics can benefit from seeing multiple sides of the argument, leading to new research areas and techniques. Practitioners will benefit from not only seeing cutting-edge research but also reviewing the attitudes toward these study results and impacts. The most recent issue is now available. Members must log in to access the electronic journal archives. The first issue of IOP debuted in March 2008 and was produced by Wiley-Blackwell Publishing. The journal is now being published by Cambridge University Press, a world leader in journal production. The journal is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December. Information about how to submit a focal article or commentary is available on the IOP webpage. Individuals with ideas for a potential focal article they would like to write or with ideas about topics they would like to see addressed in the journal can email Editor Cort Rudolph. A new set of focal articles will be posted soon. Keep an eye out in your inbox or in the Source for the announcement. Learn more about your membership benefits on the Benefits webpage.
