For 2024, 10 SIOP members have been honored with distinguished awards. SIOP Distinguished Awards are given in recognition of a lifetime of outstanding contributions or distinguished early career contributions to the practice or science of industrial and organizational psychology; sustained, significant, and outstanding service to SIOP; a sustained record of excellence in the teaching of I-O psychology; or sustained, significant, and outstanding humanitarian contributions related to I-O psychology. 2024 SIOP Distinguished Award Recipients include: Dunnette Prize: Ruth Kanfer and Phillip Ackerman Distinguished Scientific Contributions: Russell Cropanzano Distinguished Early Career Contributions–Practice: Peter Reiley and Carter Gibson Distinguished Early Career Contributions–Science: Trevor Foulk Distinguished Teaching Contributions: Alicia Grandey Distinguished Service Contributions: Jeffrey McHenry Wayne Cascio Scientist-Practitioner: Allan Church SIOP Humanitarian Award: Julie Olson-Buchanan SIOP also presents awards in the categories of Achievements and Best Papers, Research Grants, and Scholarships and Fellowships. Achievement and Best Paper Awards Several SIOP awards recognize outstanding publications, projects, and applied work by its members. Funded largely by donations from leading I-O psychologists, these awards highlight excellence, innovation, and advancement in various areas germane to the I-O field. Research Grants SIOP invests in the advancement of I-O psychology by funding research initiatives. Grants are available through programs that support research in any area of interest to SIOP members and through programs that support research on key topics, such as leadership and diversity. Several grants are specifically designed to support research by graduate students. Scholarships and Fellowships SIOP awards several scholarships and a fellowship to recognize achievement by graduate students in I-O psychology, and related fields and to provide these students with financial support. The Distinguished Award recipients will be honored at the Opening Plenary at the 2024 SIOP Annual Conference and individually featured in a social media campaign spanning SIOP’s Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram accounts later this spring.
