Background of the Top 10 Work Trends 2023
At the end of 2022, SIOP members identified a list of the expected and predicted 2023 Top 10 Work Trends. Although the identified trends were multifaced and complex, some are more focused and have their origin from the distress of a global pandemic and critical social issues in 2020 or are linked to fears of a recession, inflation, or unexpected lay offs at the turn of 2022-2023. These dynamics linger on during 2023 in media, research, and practice. The trends, identified by SIOP members, who are experts in applied science at work, were announced at the beginning of March. Next, we introduced the Trend Champions selected to monitor the latest developments in research and practice on each of these trends throughout the year. And after the first quarter of 2023, we share the Q1 Round-ups. During the SIOP Annual Conference in April, many of the Top 10 Work Trends will be discussed, and recent insights will be shared, which will be reviewed and discussed in the Q2 Round-ups. But first the 2023 Q1 Round-ups
