Hotel and Registration Information to Help You Plan

Sharing information here in the Source and on social media are two of the ways we display regular communication, which is one of our Guiding Principles, leading up to the 2023 SIOP Annual Conference.

Most recently, you may have read about the conference charter and guiding principles, and our save-the-date message, which included five things you need to know to start your planning.

In this article, we’d like to highlight hotel and registration information.

Hotel reservations can now be made at our headquarters hotels, the Sheraton Boston Hotel and Boston Marriott Copley Place, both of which are adjacent to the Hynes Convention Center, our meeting venue. Staying in an “official” SIOP hotel puts you close to all the conference action and improves your likelihood of bumping into friends and colleagues old and new while also helping SIOP meet its contractual obligations, a key component to keeping the conference going strong now and in the future.

Please note that the 127th Boston Marathon takes place on Monday, April 17, 2023, and the finish line is within a few blocks of our conference venue! As exciting as that is, it does mean that SIOP conference registrants opting to arrive a few days early may experience difficulty finding an affordable hotel room in one of our conference hotels or nearby. It may be necessary to stay any nights prior to Tuesday, April 18, outside of the Back Bay neighborhood to enjoy what Boston has to offer without the inconvenience of Boston Marathon crowds and traffic.

We’d also like to share that conference registration will open in early 2023, with an early registration deadline of Feb. 28. Please note the virtual and in-person options when you make your registration choice.
