Register Now for the June 7 “Great R” Learning Event

Registration is now open for the third session of the SIOP Work Smart Series, which will focus on one of the most multifaceted workforce phenomena of our times—what we are calling “The Great R.”

The Great R: Reality, Response, and Reset in a Post-Pandemic Workplace
Register Now
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. ET Tuesday, June 7
$159 Members | $189 Nonmembers

Initially, the term “The Great Resignation” was coined by SIOP Member Anthony Klotz to describe the wave of people leaving their jobs. Since that time a multitude of other labels have been used to describe the current period of workplace change: Reshuffle, Revolution, Re-imagination. Clearly, this is an unprecedented opportunity to reset.

In this 3-hour, engaging session, you will:

  • Learn more about the diverse areas of talent management impacted by The Great R taking place in the workplace
  • Gain information from leading-edge McKinsey & Company survey research related to The Great R
  • Engage with multiple I-O psychology experts and peers to discuss aspects of work impacted by The Great R
  • Discuss implications for participants’ workplaces and the role I-O psychologists and talent managers can play in ensuring positive outcomes

This session will blend the best of science and practice, bringing together researchers doing cutting-edge analysis and practitioners on the front line of addressing the new realities of work. Dr. Reeshad Dalal, professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology, will serve as moderator for the session. Dr. Marino Mugavar-Baldocchi, research scientist at McKinsey & Company, will share cutting-edge research from his Future of Work knowledge department efforts.

Registrants will also choose two of seven informative breakout sessions on topics ranging from recruitment and selection to employee listening and culture facilitated by leading I-O experts. In addition, all sessions will be recorded, allowing registrants to later view all the breakouts. Click here for the agenda and presenter bios.

Remember to invite your non-SIOP colleagues, as this content is applicable and useful to professionals outside of I-O who are leading organizations through The Great R.

Continuing education credits will be offered for this session.
