Register Now for Motivational Interviewing Advanced Professional Development

The SIOP Career and Professional Development for Practitioners Committee is proud to announce four exciting opportunities for practitioners to engage in career and/or professional development as part of the 2022 SIOP Annual Conference.

This article will focus on Motivational Interviewing Advanced Professional Development, which is designed to motivate individuals toward change. We have also shared information in prior articles about Speed Mentoring, Career Growth Exploration, and Natural Language Processing Advanced Professional Development.

The Motivational Interviewing program will provide a comprehensive look at motivational interviewing, a skill-based communicative approach that directly assists clients to overcome barriers, make changes, and achieve goals. It will be held over four, 2-hour modules April 4, April 6, April 18, and April 20.

This workshop is designed to:

  • Advance I-O psychology through unique skill development
  • Provide I-O psychologists applicable training in motivational interviewing

Presenters include Kristijan Civjak, assistant professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Business Psychology Department; and Megan Ross, psychologist with expertise in systems and organizational psychology, clinical psychology, and leadership development.
