Top 10 Work Trends: Q4 Round Ups From Trend Champions

Here we are… a year after SIOP members identified the Top 10 Work Trends for 2021. With the global COVID-19 pandemic still omnipresent, we continue to see that all of our identified trends remained at the forefront of work-, workforce-, and workplace-related research and practice.

We’d like to thank our inaugural group of annual Work Trend Champions for volunteering their time to help all of us stay up to date on the latest developments by compiling round ups each quarter this year. Background:
At the end of 2020, SIOP conducted its annual survey to identify the Top 10 Work Trends for 2021. These trends, identified by SIOP members who are experts in applied science at work, were announced in January. In February, we introduced the Trend Champions selected to monitor the latest developments in research and practice on each of these trends throughout the year. At the end of each quarter, our Champions shared the latest on I-O and cross-disciplinary developments: Q1 Work Trend Round Ups; Q2 Work Trend Round Ups; Q3 Work Trend Round Ups.

Next steps:
We’ve recently surveyed SIOP members to predict the most significant work trends for 2022. The results will be announced in January.  If you’re interested in serving as a Work Trend Champion for 2022, please reach out to Visibility-Media Subcommittee Chair Heidi Glickman to express your interest.
