Members Asked to Update Addresses, Consider Foundation in Year-End Giving

Each year, the SIOP Foundation creates an annual report that acknowledges all donors who support the Foundation and its mission. The annual report provides the names of those supporters as well as the winners of the Foundation’s awards, scholarships, and grants, and a snapshot of the Foundation’s finances.

Recently, the SIOP Foundation changed from the July 1-June 30 fiscal year to a January 1-December 31 calendar year. One of the primary purposes of this change is to reduce confusion regarding the year in which a SIOP Foundation contribution was made. The annual report will now be distributed electronically to all members, Fellows, and students in the January/February timeframe and mailed to SIOP professional members with a U.S. mailing address listed in the directory shortly afterward. Please take a moment to ensure the address in your SIOP member profile is correct.

The SIOP Foundation also asks that you consider the SIOP Foundation as you make plans for your year-end charitable contributions. Your tax-deductible donations are welcome any time and enable the SIOP Foundation to fund awards, grants, and scholarships that advance the profession of I-O psychology by recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding I-O psychologists, furthering research, and financially assisting the next generation of I-O psychology students.

Information on making a gift online or by mail can be found on the SIOP Foundation website.
