July Conversation Series: Taylor Sullivan & Megan Leasher

Join us for the sixth Conversation Series event of 2023, featuring Taylor Sullivan and Megan Leasher, who will talk about science for a supportive workplace.

Revisiting People Strategies in Times of Economic Uncertainty was the #7 Top 10 Work Trend of 2023. It stresses the importance of helping employees weather the massive layoffs in the tech sector. In this challenging time, many companies do not have a transition plan for survivors. It is very important to understand the impact of layoffs on survivors and, particularly, their impact on minority groups, as they may experience them differently.

For companies that are going or may go through a layoff, industrial-organizational psychologists can help develop communication plans and tools for leaders and team members, aid in re-establishing trust, and assist in working through uncertainty. For current and future survivors of a layoff, it can be helpful to hear conversations about how others navigated the situation, for example, by staying positive, choosing healthy behaviors, and giving themselves some grace.

Some of these insights and more will be at the center of this discussion with Taylor Sullivan, the senior director of Product Insights and principal I-O psychologist at Codility, and Megan Leasher, an award-winning industrial-organizational psychologist who is passionate about helping individuals and organizations become their best selves.

Join the conversation from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. ET July 27 when they will share information and updates live from all of these channels:
