Edited by Tracy Kantrowitz, Douglas H. Reynolds, and John C. Scott, Talent Assessment: Embracing Innovation and Mitigating Risk in the Digital Age is an up-to-date and comprehensive source of innovations, research summaries, and case studies of the most cutting-edge topics in talent assessment. Included are chapters on some of the most pressing issues in I-O psychology (e.g., diversity and inclusion, ethics in machine learning) presented in several short chapters from leaders in the field, enabling the reader to quickly understand current issues. “It has been a pleasure to work with so many talented I-O psychologists on the construction of this book,” said Editor Doug Reynolds. “Their willingness to share deep insights from their experience brings unique value to the volume.” Available now for preorder, the book, which used content from the 2019 LEC on assessment as its base, serves as a companion piece to the 2023 SIOP Leading Edge Consortium, which is chaired by Kantrowitz. “We are thrilled that this volume documented and extended the content presented at the last LEC on assessment and signaled a new collaboration with the Professional Practice Series, one that we expect will continue on in future volumes,” she said. This latest volume is available now from Oxford University Press. SIOP members can use the code ASPROMP8 to receive 30% off.
