LEC Planning in Full Swing, Registration to Open in July

The 2023 SIOP Leading Edge Consortium (LEC) will bring together a diverse array of thought leaders from consulting, industry, and academia who have pushed assessment forward in the past 5 years and are leading the industry into the next 5. We encourage you to save the date for this timely forum that will uniquely integrate contemporary science, practice, and guidance on assessment.

Talent Assessment Strategies for the Future will be held Thursday, October 5, and Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Warwick Hotel Philadelphia. This year, the LEC is limited to 200 registrants, and we expect significant interest in this core I-O topic. Registration will open in early July.

2023 LEC Committee members are putting the finishing touches on a program that will cover a wide range of assessment-related topics, including implications associated with updated assessment validity findings, advanced assessment technology, and recent legislation related to AI assessment. A small sample of confirmed speakers includes:

  • Damon Bryant, Morgan State University
  • Richard Chambers, General Mills
  • Nick Koenig, Walmart
  • Vicki Lipnic, Resolution Economics and former Commissioner and Acting Chair, EEOC
  • Toni Locklear, APTMetrics
  • Paul Sackett, University of Minnesota

More information about the workshops, sessions, and speakers will be shared in the coming weeks on the LEC webpage, here in the Source, on social media, and in the July TIP. Registration information and hotel information is now available on the consortium webpage.

If you would like to gain a current understanding of the state of assessment science or learn how organizations are implementing and evolving their assessment practices for the future, mark your calendars for this dynamic look at talent assessment science and practice.
