Artificial intelligence is changing the way that organizations assess and hire talent. AI enables machines to learn from experience and carry out human-like tasks, and its use has become ubiquitous in various sectors, including science, medicine, transportation, and communication. These changes are happening rapidly yet with little guidance about how to effectively validate, implement, interpret, and use scores produced from AI-based assessments in this context. Industrial and organizational psychologists, who possess knowledge on employee selection, assessment, and the use of artificial intelligence in the workplace, can help provide the guidance organizations need. Colin Willis, I-O Psychology Program Manager at HireVue, will share insights on using I-O best practices to guide the use of AI in client organizations. He has led the way in several areas of practice that promote ethical AI use, including neurodiversity and hiring outcomes. Additionally, he is experienced in exploring the intersection between inclusivity, new technologies, and emerging regulations of employment decision tools. Join the conversation from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. ET May 25 when he will share information and updates live from all of these channels: Facebook Twitter LinkedIn YouTube Organized by the SIOP Electronic Communication Committee, the SIOP Conversation Series features thought leaders in academia and industry in an “Ask Me Anything” style conversation about their work and I-O-related topics.
