Although the history of the I-O psychology profession, and its organization as Division 14 of the American Psychological Association, dates much further back, this is an important milestone for SIOP and will be celebrated throughout the month of June. We invite you to join us as we reminisce about SIOP’s past and imagine its future. Throughout the month, look for ways here in the Source and on social media to share your memories, fun facts, and wishes about and for the organization. We’ll share highlights in the June 29 issue of the Source, so be sure to participate early (and often!). In the spirit of celebrating our past, we’re starting the fun by bringing back a member favorite from a few years ago—the haiku! Haikus seem easy—three lines, 17 syllables—but they can be tricky. Here’s one to get you started: SIOP is 40 Happy Anniversary Here’s to many more Share your SIOP-related haiku on social media using hashtags #SIOP40 and #SIOPHaiku, or email it to astark@siop.org. We’ll share some of our favorites in June issues of the Source. (It goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway: No profane language or political commentary.)
