Mark Peterson / Thursday, April 1, 2021 / Categories: Calls and Announcements, Announcements Personnel Psychology Call for Research on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applications in Personnel Selection/Staffing Have you or your organization been conducting research on artificial intelligence and machine learning in personnel selection and staffing? Would you like recognition for that work by publishing it in a major scientific journal, but do not know how or have the time? Would you be willing to share basic information on that research and help co-author an article that summarizes multiple studies? If the answers to these questions are yes (or maybe), see details at the following link: https://0-onlinelibrary-wiley-com.library.alliant.edu/pb-assets/assets/17446570/Part%202%20-%20Special%20Instructions-1617294017393.pdf. In brief, PPsych is having a special issue on this topic. Because we believe this is an area where practice is leading science, we would like to provide assistance and structure to those who are working in non-academic settings who may be doing work in this area. We welcome fully developed journal articles reporting on questions related to the special issue topic. Alternatively, you could take part in a paper reporting multiple studies, and participate as a coauthor. In this format, we will provide a template of the information required to submit a study. A special editorial board of early pioneers in this domain will assist with this effort. We will work with potential contributors to develop their submissions. If you think you might have a sufficient study, please contact us. There will be a session at the 2021 SIOP Conference on April 16 (3:30-4:45 Eastern Time) with the special editorial board to discuss the special issue and answer questions. See the link to the conference here: https://0-www-siop-org.library.alliant.edu/Annual-Conference. Please direct questions to the special issue guest editors: Michael A. Campion (campionm@purdue.edu) and Emily D. Campion (ecampion@odu.edu). The submission window is in August, 2021, so now is the time to be planning and developing submissions.
