Registration Is Now Open for Practitioner Development Events

The SIOP Career and Professional Development for Practitioners Committee is offering five exciting opportunities for practitioners to engage in career and/or professional development as part of the 2021 SIOP Annual Conference.

In addition to the Practitioner Mentoring Program and the Advanced Professional Development Program – Natural Language Processing Workshop, the committee is offering:

Career Growth Exploration
This 2-in-1 workshop, designed for mid- to late-career professionals, will explore myriad I-O practitioner career paths that will uniquely appeal to every attendee. Following a panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to select from nine exclusive breakout groups for in-depth discussions. This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT Wednesday, April 7, 2021, via Zoom and is included in the conference registration fee. Learn more and register. 

Speed Mentoring
Want advice and recommendations from those who have been there and done that? For early career practitioners (up to 5 years post MA/PhD), this event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT Thursday, April 8, 2021, via Zoom and is included in the conference registration fee. The session includes two, 30-minute discussions on specific topics facilitated by one or two expert practitioners per session. Register here. 

Speed Benchmarking
Want to dig deep on I-O topics with expert practitioners? Designed for mid- to late-career practitioners (5+ years post MA/PhD), this event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT Friday, April 9, 2021, via Zoom and is included in the conference registration fee. The session includes two, 30-minute discussions on specific topics facilitated by one or two expert practitioners per session. Register here. 

Please note, you need to also register for the 2021 SIOP Annual Conference to participate in the Career Growth Exploration, Speed Mentoring, and Speed Benchmarking events.

Registrants will receive an email confirmation of participation once all slots have been filled and registration has closed. The committee will do its best to align participants with their topics of greatest interest. Topics will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and spots are limited, so sign up now! Registration will remain open through March 15.
