SIOP Transitions 2021 Annual Conference to All-Virtual Format

In alignment with SIOP’s values and the Conference Committee’s Guiding Principles for the 2021 Annual Conference, the SIOP Executive Board, Conference Committee, and Program Committee announce the cancellation of the in-person portion of the SIOP Annual Conference, previously scheduled to be held in New Orleans, April 15-17, 2021.

The 36th SIOP Annual Conference will be held entirely virtually, offering an expanded schedule of live synchronous sessions, plenaries, workshops, and interactive receptions and breaks, alongside a rich array of asynchronous sessions for convenient on-demand viewing.

Lessons learned from SIOP’s pioneering and rapid pivot to online virtual delivery for the 2020 conference are being fully integrated into the plans for 2021. Conference organizers are prioritizing interactivity to maintain the sense of collaborative connection the annual conference brings to many in the SIOP community.
