2020 Fellows and Distinguished Award Recipients to be Featured in Social Media Campaign

Every year SIOP and the SIOP Foundation each present several awards recognizing excellence in professional and student work. In 2020, 9 SIOP members were honored with distinguished awards and 31 members received Fellow status.

New this year, these recipients will be individually featured in a social media campaign spanning SIOP’s Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram accounts. Distinguished award recipients will be featured between January 21 and February 18. Fellows will be featured between January 22 and March 5.

SIOP has been recognizing the outstanding contributions of members by granting Fellow status throughout its history. To be considered for SIOP Fellow status, a member must be nominated by another member and endorsed by at least three more SIOP Fellows. A member who has been active in the Society for 10 years or more is eligible based on meaningful, sustained, and unusual impact on the field.

SIOP Distinguished Awards are given in recognition of either a lifetime of outstanding contributions or distinguished early career contributions to the practice or science of industrial and organizational psychology; sustained, significant, and outstanding service to SIOP; a sustained record of excellence in the teaching of I-O psychology; and sustained, significant, and outstanding humanitarian contributions related to I-O psychology.

2021 distinguished award recipients and Fellows will be featured in a second social media campaign beginning in mid-March, leading up to the 2021 SIOP Annual Conference.
