Presented by SIOP and GAIOP, the Georgia Association for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the workshop is led by Katey E. Foster, PhD, and Megan M. Chandler PhD, I-O psychologists and litigation consultants with cross-industry expertise in a variety of employment processes including job analysis, assessment development and validation, competency modeling, and talent management. In this 3-hour workshop, they will brief you on significant recent court cases, employment regulations, and regulatory agency priorities, and will help you apply that knowledge to employment decision procedures. After this workshop, participants will be able to: describe the recent court cases with major legal and ethical implications for employment decisions; identify significant changes to employment regulations; identify current priorities of regulatory agencies; and apply knowledge to inform relevant areas of practice (e.g., development/validation of selection tools) and/or prioritize efforts toward ethical and legal compliance.
