In addition, BEA is asking APA Divisions to recommend that Council approve these student learning outcomes as APA policy. Developed by the APA Introductory Psychology Initiative (IPI), the proposed student learning outcomes were drafted at the APA Summit on Introductory Psychology in July 2019. BEA circulated these student learning outcomes in Spring 2020. Subsequent to receipt of comments, the IPI Steering Committee and its working groups revised the proposed student learning outcomes (July 2020). At this time, BEA is requesting (1) final comments on the proposed student learning outcomes for introductory psychology, and (2) that APA Divisions recommend that Council approve the IPI student learning outcomes for introductory psychology as APA policy. APA Divisions are requested to provide a response to BEA via the Education Directorate Public Comment website by October 30, 2020.
