New Year, New Decade

As you make progress on your resolutions, why not resolve to update your SIOP profile! It's quick and easy. Give your fellow members, media outlets, and potential employers the most up-to-date information about you.

Your SIOP profile is the most powerful tool you have to promote yourself through SIOP. Don’t be the SIOPer with the outdated or empty profile.

You also don’t want to miss your opportunity to be featured in a news outlet, contracted for your consulting services, or connected to a future research collaborator.

How to complete your SIOP profile:

  1. Log in to your SIOP account. From the SIOP.org homepage, login in the top right with your username and password.
  2. Complete your demographic information. When you get to your profile landing page, click through the options on the “Account Actions” menu in the right-hand column. These options include all of your personal information, such as your name, email address, current employer, and so forth. They also include special sections for your Consultant Locator Service and registry information, such as your area of expertise and the types of services or projects on which you are interested in working.
  3. Manage your privacy and opt in/out. Filling out this section tells SIOP what you want to participate in and which contact information (personal or work) we should share with members and the public. You get to decide exactly what information others can find about you for each specific service you use.
  4. Don’t forget to upload your photo in the top left corner, too!

To download a full presentation with step-by-step instructions and screenshots, visit the SIOP website. For questions about your membership profile, please contact Michelle Zavaleta at mzavaleta@siop.org.
