Here is the technology SIOP will use for the virtual aspects of the 2024 SIOP Annual Conference. 
 

Whova

Whova, SIOP’s virtual conference platform and mobile app, is the primary access point for conference information and content – schedules, educational programming, and networking opportunities can be accessed one week out from the annual conference, Wednesday, April 10. Whova is accessible via web browser or the app, which is a free download. You must sign into Whova with the email address you used for SIOP conference registration (other email addresses will not provide access). Please note, Whova may require you to type in a verification code, which will be automatically sent to the email you registered under.

Whova includes a Community Board that can enhance the ease of networking by allowing you to initiate and/or join meetups, and engage in live or asynchronous discussion throughout the conference. The Whova app will close on April 28 for non-extended access and June 30 for extended access.

Zoom

Zoom will be used for Virtual Live programming. You will access Zoom by clicking on the session name in Whova that you would like to attend. Zoom’s platform allows a “frictionless environment” using video, voice, content sharing, and chat. Most everyone is likely familiar with Zoom, however, there are robust training materials available here.

To view subtitles in Zoom, click the “CC-Live Transcript” button at the bottom of the screen and then click “Show Subtitle."
