Mr. Adam Bryant

Adam Bryant

Adam Bryant joined the ExCo Group (formerly Merryck & Co.), an executive mentoring firm, as managing director in 2017 after a 30-year career in journalism, including 18 years at The New York Times. In addition to his many roles there as a reporter and editor, he created the weekly "Corner Office" column in 2009, and interviewed 525 CEOs and other leaders over a decade. He has written three books based on the themes that emerged from those interviews, including his latest: THE CEO TEST: Master the Challenges that Make or Break All Leaders, published by Harvard Business Review Press. Since joining Merryck, he has started popular interview series on LinkedIn with board directors, CEOs and CHROs, and he writes a monthly column on leadership for Strategy+Business magazine. Adam also is the senior adviser to the Reuben Mark Initiative for Organizational Character and Leadership at Columbia University.

Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic

Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic is an international authority in psychological profiling, talent management, and people analytics. His commercial work focuses on the creation of science-based tools that improve organizations' ability to predict performance, and understand human potential. He is currently the Chief Talent Scientist at ManpowerGroup, where he leads global strategy and innovation, cofounder of DeeperSignals and Metaprofiling, and Professor of Business Psychology at both University College London and Columbia University. He has previously held academic positions at New York University and the London School of Economics, and frequently lectures at Harvard Business School, Stanford Business School, London Business School, and IMD, as well as being the former CEO at Hogan Assessments.

Dr. Tomas has written 10 books and over 200 scientific papers on talent, leadership, innovation, and AI, making him one of the most prolific social scientists of his generation. His work has received awards by the American Psychological Association, the International Society for the Study of Individual Differences, and the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, to which he is a Fellow. Dr. Tomas is also the founding director of University College London's Industrial-Organizational and Business Psychology program, and the Chief Psychometric Advisor to Harvard's Entrepreneurial Finance Lab.

Over the past 20 years, he has consulted to a range of clients in financial services (e.g., JP Morgan, HSBC, Goldman Sachs), advertising (e.g., Google, WPP, BBH), media (e.g., BBC, Red Bull, Twitter, Spotify), consumer goods (e.g., Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, P&G), fashion (e.g., LVMH, Net-a-Porter, Valentino), government (e.g., British Army, Royal Mail, NHS), and intergovernmental organizations (e.g., United Nations and World Bank). Dr. Tomas' media career comprises over 200 TV appearances, including on the BBC, CNN, and Sky, three TED talks, and regular features in Harvard Business Review, the Guardian, Fast Company, Forbes, and the Huffington Post. Dr. Tomas is also a keynote speaker for the Economist’s Institute of Economic Affairs. He was born and raised in the Villa Freud district of Buenos Aires, but spent most of his professional career in London and New York. Dr. Amy C. Edmondson

Dr. Amy C. Edmondson

Dr. Amy C. Edmondson is the Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at the Harvard Business School, a chair established to support the study of human interactions that lead to the creation of successful enterprises that contribute to the betterment of society.

Edmondson has been recognized by the biannual Thinkers50 global ranking of management thinkers since 2011, and most recently was ranked #3 in 2019; she also received that organization’s Breakthrough Idea Award in 2019, and Talent Award in 2017.  She studies teaming, psychological safety, and organizational learning, and her articles have been published numerous academic and management outlets, including Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Harvard Business Review and California Management Review. Her most recent book, The Fearless Organization: Creating Psychological Safety in the Workplace for Learning, Innovation and Growth (Wiley, 2019), offers a practical guide for organizations serious about success in the modern economy and has been translated into 11 languages.

Her prior books – Teaming: How organizations learn, innovate and compete in the knowledge economy (Jossey-Bass, 2012), Teaming to Innovate (Jossey-Bass, 2013) and Extreme Teaming (Emerald, 2017) – explore teamwork in dynamic organizational environments. In Building the future: Big teaming for audacious innovation (Berrett-Koehler, 2016), she examines the challenges and opportunities of teaming across industries to build smart cities. 

Before her academic career, she was Director of Research at Pecos River Learning Centers, where she worked on transformational change in large companies. In the early 1980s, she worked as Chief Engineer for architect/inventor Buckminster Fuller, and her book A Fuller Explanation: The Synergetic Geometry of R. Buckminster Fuller (Birkauser Boston, 1987) clarifies Fuller's mathematical contributions for a non-technical audience. Edmondson received her PhD in organizational behavior, AM in psychology, and AB in engineering and design from Harvard University.

Dr. Peter Fasolo

Peter M. Fasolo is Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer at Johnson & Johnson. Peter serves as a member of the Company’s Executive Committee, chairs the Pension and Benefits Committee and is a member of the Compensation Committee. He works closely with the Executive Committee and the Johnson & Johnson Board of Directors on key succession and compensation strategies for the company.

With more than $82 billion in global revenues and more than 135,000 employees across 60 countries, Johnson & Johnson, a Fortune 500 company, is regularly recognized as one of the best places to work and most admired companies in the world. Peter has responsibility for global talent, recruiting, diversity, compensation benefits, and all aspects of the human resources agenda for the company.

Under Peter’s leadership, Johnson & Johnson has fully transformed its approach to human resources strategy and service delivery by establishing a global network of shared services and creating an insights and analytics capability to align its talent and business strategies for innovation and growth. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, he spent 13 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb in executive level, human resources roles across business segments and lived and worked outside the U.S. including Paris, France.

Peter left Johnson & Johnson in 2007 to join Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) as Chief Talent Officer where he worked on operational improvements, top team and board composition, and executive compensation for the North American portfolio of companies owned by the firm. He returned to Johnson & Johnson in 2010.

Peter earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Delaware (1989), a Master of Arts degree in Industrial Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University (1986) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Providence College (1984). He serves on the Boards of the Human Resources Policy Association, Tufts University and Save the Children and was named a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources in 2017.

Francesca Gino is the Tandon Family Professor of Business Administration in the Negotiation, Organizations & Markets Unit at Harvard Business School and the author, most recently, of Rebel Talent: Why it Pays to Break the Rules in Work and Life. Gino is also affiliated with the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, the Mind, Brain, Behavior Initiative at Harvard, and the Behavioral Insight Group at Harvard Kennedy School.

Working with more than 300 organizations and reaching thousands of leaders from the front line to the C-suite, he has identified specific ways to cultivate vibrant, effective networks at all levels of an organization and any career stage. Through research and writing, speaking and consulting, and courses and tools, Rob’s network strategies are transforming the way people lead, work and live in a hyper-connected world.

Currently the Edward A. Madden Professor of Global Leadership at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Rob is also the co-founder and director of the Connected Commons, a consortium of over 100 leading organizations accelerating network research and practice.He has written over 50 articles for Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, Academy of Management Executive and Organizational Dynamics. His work has also been repeatedly featured in venues such as Business Week, Fortune, The Financial Times, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, CIO, Inc. and Fast Company.

A graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce (where he later taught), Rob earned an MBA from UVA’s Darden School and completed doctoral work at Boston University. He met his wife Debbie while they were both at Darden, and they have two children, Rachel (currently attending Williams College) and Connor (currently attending Middlesex School).Rob has become an avid cyclist, logging 100-150 miles a week with a group of similarly crazy old guys. He enjoys playing tennis, fishing and skiing with friends and family and is active in his church. Always willing to try new things, he recently began learning to play the guitar.
