Mr. Bob Lockett

Bob is currently the Chief Diversity and Talent Officer at ADP. In this role, Bob is accountable for the Diversity, Corporate Social Responsibility and Talent strategy. Bob is passionate about ensuring that our workforce is reflective of the communities in which we live and the clients we serve. Additionally, he is an advocate for parity in leadership levels for all ADP population segments.

Prior to his role expansion, Bob was the Chief Talent Officer. He joined ADP in 2016 as the Head of Human Resources/Division Vice President for Small Business Solutions & HR Outsourcing business units. Bob’s corporate career spans over 20 years with several top tier companies. Prior to ADP, Bob was the Senior Vice President/Head of Human Resources at Harland Clarke; Vice President, Talent Management at First Data; HR Executive at USAA; Director, Human Resources at Limited Brands (Bath& Body Works, Express); Director, Player Services at Harrah’s Casino; Senior Group Manager, HR at Frito Lay, and Executive Senior Partner at The Lucas Group. He has led multiple HR Centers of Excellence (Diversity & Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations and HR Business Partners) throughout his career.

Prior to his corporate career, Bob served as a field artillery officer in the US Army for 9 years. He commanded an artillery unit in Germany and is a Desert Storm veteran.

Bob is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned a MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. Bob sits on the board of directors for the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund, is a member of the Diversity HR50, coaches little league football, is a lifetime member of the VFW, The American Legion, and the National Black MBA Association.

Dr. Karen B. Paul is Director of Executive Planning and Development for 3M, based in St Paul, Minnesota. 3M is a 30+ billion corporation with over 95,000 employees worldwide. She is responsible for C-Suite executive planning including assessment, succession, systems, acquisition, coaching, development and overall strengthening of the leadership pipeline in support of these roles.

Karen has held a variety of leadership roles over the course of her 25-year career and has deep expertise in assessing & developing senior leaders, high-potential development, and succession planning. Her work has been published in both major academic and professional journals with over 80 publications and presentations. Karen’s book chapter in "Using Experience to Develop Leadership Talent" details some of her work within 3M which has been consistently acclaimed for its innovative development approaches. She is a recognized global thought leader in the areas of leadership development, employee engagement and organizational culture.

Karen received her doctorate in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University. She is a Fellow in the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a charter member of the Association for Psychological Science (APS). She is on the Advisory Board of the Institute of Corporate Productivity (i4cp) and a former SHRM Foundation Board member and former Chair of the Mayflower Group.

Ms. Samantha Guerre

Ms. Samantha Guerre

Samantha Guerre joined 3M Company in 2017. Starting in HR Compliance, Samantha is now in Talent Planning, Acquisition and Assessment as a Global Talent and Testing Specialist. She has contributed to evolving selection process standards, maintaining, and upgrading global selection assessments, aligning resources and processes to diversity goals, and many other initiatives in partnership with other HR organizations. The 3M Talent Planning. Recruitment and Assessment organization stives to align 3M processes and resources with industry best practices with a continuous eye on emerging critical considerations.

Prior to joining 3M, Samantha was in the US Army. It was her experience working with highly effective teams and wildly inspirational leaders that turned her eye toward I-O psychology and an advanced degree. She also interned and then worked as a Consultant at DRI Consulting before coming to 3M.

Samantha has a master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from St. Cloud State University and a bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Bemidji State University. She currently resides in Minnesota with her husband and two daughters.

Dr. Mike Benson

Mike Benson joined General Mills in 2016. In his current role, Mike is Vice President, Talent & Organization Capabilities and part of the Human Resources Senior Leadership team. The focus of the Talent & Organization Capabilities group is delivering a robust and diverse leadership pipeline through best-in-class talent management initiatives, executive education and leadership development processes, learning and development, and broad organizational development and effectiveness programs. The initiatives, processes, experiences, and programs will assist top management in achieving strategic business imperatives and provide a catalyst for growth, change, and innovation.

Prior to joining General Mills, Mike held a variety of senior talent management roles at Johnson & Johnson. During his tenure at J&J, Mike had responsibility for a number of global and enterprise-wide initiatives including: developing emerging leaders in Business Unit Leader and Research & Development critical talent pools through experience-based development; leading the development and deployment of the Leadership Imperatives (J&J’s global leadership competency model); and designing and executing leadership development solutions and strategies that supported the global, enterprise-wide GM Talent Development Strategy. Mike also worked for Personnel Decisions International, a large global HR consultancy, and spent 12 years as a military officer in the United States Air Force. The majority of his experience focuses on building robust leadership pipelines, talent management, leadership skills & traits, leadership development, assessment, and organizational performance. Mike has delivered leadership training sessions, performance feedback, and talent management consulting to military and corporate audiences around the world.

Mike has a PhD in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Behavioral Sciences & Leadership from the United States Air Force Academy. He holds memberships in the American Psychological Association, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Academy of Management. His hobbies include golf, biking, reading, riding his Harley, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Allan H. Church

Dr. Alan H. Church.

Allan H. Church, PhD, is Senior Vice President of Global Talent Management at PepsiCo. During his 30 plus years in field he has spent 19 with PepsiCo in various global talent assessment and organization development roles, 9 years prior as an external OD consultant with Warner Burke Associates, and 3 years at IBM.

He is a former Chair of the Mayflower Group (a survey consortium) and currently serves on the SIOP Executive Board as Membership Services Officer and the Conference Board's Council of Talent Management Executives. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University where he teaches Strategic Talent Management, and serves on a number of academic and practitioner journal editorial boards.

He has authored seven books, over 35 book chapters and 150 articles. Allan received his Ph.D. from Columbia University, and is a SIOP, APA, APS and SCP Fellow. In 2018 he received SIOP's Distinguished Professional Contributions Award.

Alexis Fink has spent more than 2 decades leading Talent Analytics, Workforce Strategy, Talent Management and large-scale organizational change teams at leading global organizations, including Facebook, Microsoft and Intel. She has done extensive work in organizational transformation, organizational culture, leadership assessment, and the application of advanced analytical methods to human capital problems. She is an author of a comprehensive book on People Analytics, Investing in People: Financial Impact of Human Resource Initiatives, co-edited the forthcoming book on employee surveys, Employee Surveys and Sensing: Driving Organizational Culture and Performance, and has contributed numerous other book chapters and articles through her career. Alexis is a Fellow of SIOP, was recipient of SIOP's Distinguished Service Award in 2019, is an Affiliated Research Scientist USC’s Center for Effective Organizations and was Chair of the IT Survey Group, an industry consortium dedicated to employee surveys. Alexis earned her PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Old Dominion University. David V. Day is Professor of Psychology and Steven L. Eggert ‘82 P’15 Professor of Leadership at Claremont McKenna College (USA), where he also serves as the Academic Director of the Kravis Leadership Institute. He is the lead author on An Integrative Approach to Leader Development (Routledge, 2009) and the editor of The Oxford Handbook of Leadership and Organizations (Oxford University Press, 2014). He served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Psychology from 2008-2014 and is currently the Editor of The Leadership Quarterly Yearly Review. Day is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, Association for Psychological Science, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the International Association of Applied Psychology. He is the 2010 recipient of the Walter F. Ulmer Research Award from the Center for Creative Leadership (USA) for outstanding, career-long contributions to applied leadership research.

Prior to Groupon, Karishma was head of talent management for BAE Systems Inc., a large global defense firm with 35,000 employees and also held a senior consultant role with PDI Ninth House, a leadership solutions consulting firm. Karishma started her career as an executive coach working extensively with physician and academic faculty leaders in healthcare and education.

Karishma holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She completed her fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and mini-MBA certification from St. Thomas University, Opus College of Business, in Minnesota.

Jennifer J. Deal, PhD, is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Effective Organizations at the University of Southern California, a Lecturer at the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego, and a Wall Street Journal Experts panel contributor. Her work focuses on global leadership, generational differences, and the systemic implications of gender and culture on organizational effectiveness. She has written three books (Success for the New Global Manager co-authored in 2002; Retiring the Generation Gap in 2007; and What Millennials Want from Work with Alec Levenson in 2016). An internationally recognized expert on generational differences, her work has been featured in such media outlets as the The Economist, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, The Guardian, Harvard Business Review, Strategy+Business, Forbes, and Fortune, and she was the winner of the 2017 Raymond A. Alec Levenson, PhD, is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Effective Organizations at the University of Southern California. His action research and consulting work with companies optimize organization performance through the scientific application of organization design, job design, human capital analytics and strategic talent management. Three areas of primary focus include optimizing the operating model to improve strategy execution and organizational performance; talent management practices for the new generation of workers and world of work; and integrating analytics and OD to improve decisions around talent and work design. He draws from the disciplines of economics, strategy, organization behavior, and industrial-organizational psychology to tackle complex talent and organizational challenges. He is the author of "Strategic Analytics: Advancing Strategy Execution and Organizational Effectiveness, What Millennials Want From Work (with Jennifer Deal), and Employee Surveys That Work". His research has been featured in numerous academic and business publications, and in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, CNN, BusinessWeek, and many other news outlets.

Dr. Stefanie K. Johnson is an associate professor of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics. She holds the Andrea and Michael Leeds Research Fellowship, is the Director of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative, and is a 2020 RIO Fellow. She has published 60 journal articles and book chapters in outlets Journal of Applied Psychology and The Academy of Management Journal and has received $3,800,000 in external grant funding. Dr. Johnson is member of the MG 100 Coaches, was selected for the 2020 Thinkers50 Radar List, and is the author of the Harper Collins book, Inclusify: Harnessing the power of uniqueness and belonging to build innovative teams. She has presented her work at over 170 meetings around the world including at the White House for a 2016 summit on diversity in corporate America.

Dr. Adam Gordon

Adam Gordon has been an analyst and academic in the futures & foresight field for 25 years, and a business school executive education developer since 2010. He is currently on faculty at AU Aarhus BSS business school, Denmark, and head of its Strategic Foresight Research Network. Adam has a significant footprint in the global south, including as Director of Executive Education at the University of Witwatersrand, and has lectured and been programme lead at INSEAD and Cedep, the Oxford Scenario’s Programme, Aalto Executive Education and Monash GSB, among various faculty and executive engagements. He worked as a foresight analyst in Washington D.C. during the Clinton administration. In addition to academic papers, he is author of “Future Savvy: Quality in Foresight,” Amacom Press. Jay Conger is the Henry R. Kravis Chaired Professor of Leadership Studies at Claremont McKenna College. Author of fifteen books and over a hundred articles and book chapters, he researches leadership development, power and influence, executive leadership, organizational change, empowerment, leadership communications and boards of directors. His most recent book The High Potential’s Advantage (Harvard Business Review Press, 2018) describes the distinguishing characteristics of high potential leadership talent. Over his career, he has served on the management faculties of the Harvard Business School, INSEAD (France), the London Business School, McGill University, and the University of Southern California. He was the faculty director of the Kravis Leadership Institute at Claremont McKenna College and the University of Southern California’s Marshall School’s Leadership Institute.

Dr. Michael Arena

Dr. Michael Arena

Michael Arena is the Vice President of Talent & Development at Amazon Web Service. He also serves as a faculty member in Penn’s Masters in Organizational Dynamics program and acts as a design thinking coach within the Stanford dSchool. He was recently nominated to the Thinkers50 Radar class of 2020 for his work on network roles in creating adaptive organizations and his research on networks won the 2017 Walker Prize from People + Strategy.

Prior to joining Amazon, Arena was the Chief Talent Officer for General Motors Corporation where he launched GM2020, a grass roots initiative designed to enable employees to positively disrupt the way they work, which was highlighted in Fast Company and Fortune Magazine. This initiative and others are highlighted in his book, Adaptive Space: How GM and Other Companies are Positively Disrupting Themselves and Transforming into Agile Organizations. Arena also spent two years as a visiting scientist with MIT’s Media Lab researching human networks and served as SVP of Leadership Development at Bank of America.

Dr. Kalifa Oliver

Dr. Kalifa Oliver

Kalifa Oliver, Ph.D. is the Head of Behavioral Science and Architecture for Integrated Talent at Stanley Black and Decker. Prior to this she was the Global Head of People Listening, Research, and Insights at WPP where she designed employee listening strategies and developed employee data architecture, governance, and visualization tools aimed at enhancing the employee experience and increasing the quality of executive business decisions. Kalifa has also served in similar leadership capacities as a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo and within the Global People Analytics function at Walmart.

Kalifa has her own consulting firm, DeepDive Talent Insights and Analytics, that focuses on strategic consulting related to culture strategy, listening, and designing positive employee experiences. She consults for several Fortune 500 companies and is an advisor to C-Suite executives. She also hosts a YouTube show and podcast called I Think I Love My Job. She received her Ph.D. in I-O Psychology from Clemson University.
