2019 LEC Continuing Education Opportunities

Continuing Education

Preconsortium Workshop Attendees and 2019 LEC Attendees will be eligible for continuing education credit for psychology purposes (for licensure, certifications, professional development, liability insurance, etc.) and for human resource professional certifications. The descriptions, agendas, learning objectives, intended audiences, and presenter bios are posted here.

The instructional level of this session is intermediate. It is intended for a general audience at a post-graduate level; no specific content knowledge is required. I-O psychologists, HR practitioners, and managers who work in the area of selection and assessment may benefit from this session.

The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

The 2019 Preconsortium Workshops will offer attendees 3.5 continuing education credits for psychologists per workshop attended.

The Friday LEC Program will offer attendees 5.0 continuing education credits for psychologists for the full day’s program.

The Saturday LEC Program will offer attendees 4.25 continuing education credits for psychologists for the full day’s program.

To obtain this type of CE credit:

  • Individuals must attend the entire instructional program to obtain the credit available, as partial credit is not awarded.
  • Attendees must sign in at the start of the program, sign out at the end of the program, and complete a digital evaluation post event.
  • SIOP will issue letters within 30 days post event verifying attendance and granting credit for those who have signed both in and out

 


CE Credit for HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

 

SIOP is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. For more information about SHRM certification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

The 2019 Preconsortium Workshops will offer attendees 3.5 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) PDCs toward SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® recertification per workshop attended.

The Friday LEC Program will offer attendees 5.0 PDCs toward SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® recertification for the full day’s program.

The Saturday LEC Program will offer attendees 4.25 PDCs PDCs toward SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® recertification for the full day’s program.

The 2019 SIOP LEC General Sessions have been approved for HR (General) recertification credit hours toward aPHR™, aPHRi™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™ recertification through HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®). “

The use of this seal confirms that this activity has met HR Certification Institute’s® (HRCI®) criteria for recertification credit pre-approval.
