A confluence of forces is impacting talent assessment in organizations, resulting in confusion and opportunity.

 

We invite you to save the date for the 2023 SIOP Leading Edge Consortium where thought leaders who have pushed assessment forward in the past 5 years will share contemporary research and guidance on how organizations can chart a course forward.

This program is an introductory-level program open to anyone interested in learning more about talent assessment.

 

Registration


Registration for the 2023 SIOP Leading Edge Consortium will open the first week of July. There are a limited number of seats available for this year’s event, and we have reached capacity. The registration rates for the event are:

Preconsortium Workshops


There will be three virtual Preconsortium Workshops this year taking a deeper dive into the topic of assessment. Workshops are now open to all registrants; register for workshops. Dates and times can be found on the Workshops page. CE credit will be available.

 

Hotel Information


The Warwick Hotel is now full. However, SIOP has secured a room block at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, 117 South 17th Street. Only a 3-minute walk from the Warwick (0.1 mile), the hotel features many great amenities, including Kimpton's custom-designed PUBLIC bikes for a ride around town.

Talent Assessment Strategies for the Future will be held Thursday, October 5, and Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Warwick Hotel Philadelphia. Registration will open in early July.

2023 LEC Committee members are putting the finishing touches on a program that will cover a wide range of assessment-related topics, including implications associated with updated assessment validity findings, advanced assessment technology, and recent legislation related to AI assessment. Attendees can look forward to sessions on Evidence-Based Best Practices for Autistic-Inclusive Assessments: The Value of Reactions in Neurodiversity Research (Allen), The Use of GPT and Other Large Language Models for Drafting and Scoring Assessments (Landers), Using Natural Language Processing to Score Audio Constructed Response Simulation (Liu), Generative AI and Assessment Security: Opportunities and Challenges (Munson), An Assessment Practitioner's Guide to International Data Privacy Compliance (Reynolds), and Revisiting Best Predictors of Job Performance (Sackett).
