The SIOP Annual Conference has long facilitated the sharing of knowledge and new ideas. To build on that tradition, we are now offering Research Community Forums, a new opportunity for individuals with similar interests to connect and experience meaningful research collaboration.

Three forums will be held the afternoon of Wednesday, April 2, prior to the official start of the 2025 SIOP Annual Conference. They will consist of a mix of invited content and networking/brainstorming activities to generate future research ideas and collaborations. All SIOP members are welcome to attend.

  • New Directions for DEI in the Workplace: This forum aims to build a community of collaborators focused on producing meaningful theoretical insights and practical recommendations regarding diversity management, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Participants from both science and practice who are actively engaged in diversity, equity, and inclusion work from a variety of different backgrounds and perspectives are encouraged to attend.
  • AI Applied to Selection: The goal of this forum is to promote discussion and incubate new ideas among AI researchers who are interested in addressing and highlighting challenges related to implementing AI (e.g., LLMs, NLP, Computer vision) in employee selection, including selecting candidates, ensuring fairness, generating assessments, and candidates automatically completing interviews with AI, as well as novel issues not yet discussed.
  • Thinking Big, Thinking Small: Pushing Occupational Health Psychology Into the Micro and Macro: This forum will bring together scholars interested in workplace health and wellness to develop research ideas at the intersection of micro (physiology, momentary experiences) and macro (economic trends, public policy) phenomena in a supportive and collaborative environment.

You can register for a forum when you register for the conference. If you have already registered for the conference, you can go back and add a forum at any time.
