The SIOP Disability, Inclusion, and Accessibility Ad Hoc Committee (DIAC) is excited to announce an upcoming webinar, “Recommendations for Accessible Classrooms and Workplaces,” hosted March 2, from 12:30-1:45 p.m. ET.
Attendees will leave this event able to:
- Identify the main barriers to accessible workplaces and classrooms.
- Explain the key effective (versus ineffective) accessibility practices.
- Determine specific practices to implement to make classrooms and workplaces more accessible.
Panelists include:
- Dr. Kathleen Bogart, Associate Professor of Social Health Psychology with Oregon State University
- Dr. Susanne Bruyère, Professor of Disability Studies and the Director of the Yang-Tan Institute on Employment and Disability at Cornell University
- Larry Philippe, Ed.D, Director of Disability Services and ADA Coordinator with Texas Tech University
- Brenna Sniderman, Managing Director, Center for Integrated Research at Deloitte
Dr. Christy Nittrouer, assistant professor of management, Texas Tech University, and chair of DIAC, will serve as moderator.
